We Need You…. Seeking Adult representatives from Lawrence to travel to Hiratsuka, Japan. The City of Lawrence and our Sister City in Hiratsuka, Japan will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of our relationship.  This year October 2025 a delegation of ten adults from the Lawrence area have been invited to Hiratsuka, Japan to commemorate this occasion. (A reciprocal trip will be made by our Hiratsuka friends in 2026.)

The dates for this year’s celebration in Japan is October 20-24.  The official activities in Hiratsuka will take place October 21-October 23. We have been asked to arrive in Hiratsuka on October 20. Our Hiratsuka hosts will provide homestays from October 20-24.  As an option you make extend your stay and explore Japan on your own as you desire.  Your travel and lodging will be at your expense with the exception of the dates of the homestays.  This is a truly unique and wonderful experience.
